CANDLE

There is a candle
In each being
That is always aflame
And lit,
Whose light never fades.
Let it guide you.
Think of a place
Illuminating with millions
Of suns and moons.
Such a place exists
And that place is of the heart,
In which seated is the Infinite.
He hides Himself
And reveals Himself.
His drama is an art,
That parts us not.
We are ever distinct,
Yet ever united,
As we are in Him
And He is in us.
Innumerable forms of vitality
Are ablaze with the Light.
The sun, the moon, the innumerable stars
In the heavens, the droplets of water
Alongside the shores of a beach,
And a single blade of grass.
Look within yourself,
And you will find
That the soul
Is like wind
That blows again
And again.
