Why not climb to the topmost peak?
With nature’s words on your lips you will speak
of the glorious joy of your own life
free of confusion and free of strife.

Of the need to be open and understood,
of the question of whether we ever should
descend into the valley and take part
of the dance of reason that lives in the heart.

Friends drawn together like lovers in the midst
remember the ground on which we kissed
all our troubles off into the night;
remembering the passion and forgetting the fight.

In climbing once more on this grateful day
we touch the ground with our heads and pray
that the world around us will understand
when we reach out with our helping hand.
