Every smile, every laugh, every tear
Be here now, where is our fear?

Give us everything we want
We think it’s everything we need
But in our downward spiral
We’ll just pick up extra speed.

This is not the answer
This is not our home
We were simply tempted
To chase a doggie’s bone.

We are fish out of water
Struggling to breathe
If we could see His vision
He would want us to leave

Give us answers for our heart
Remind us of that day
So many lifetimes ago
When we choose this other way

We are all so weary
This world is winding down
Why do we feel so empty?
Why do we always frown?

The happiness we seek
is in another place
Make our goal a simple one
We must leave the human race
