The Wheel
by Mark Ellis
Rolling away the days, down the highways and byways of time.
Following the sun, not a care for anyone, the memories are fine.
Dancing through the nights, a kaleidoscope of sounds and sights passing by.
Sleeping in the mist, pictures in the clouds from a remembered blue sky.
And the wheel turns round and round.
Nature sows, the river flows and the sound, echos through eternity,
To let us feel and let us see, the wheel turning round and round.
Summers come and go, the winters cold, we grow old and time flies.
Flowers bloom and die, lovers sigh in the night a new born baby cries.
Running with the tide, still young inside, the wild ride has to end sometime.
Riding on the breeze, doing what we please flowing with the rhythm and rhyme.
And the wheel turns around and round,
Nature sows, the river flows and the sound, echos through eternity,
To let us feel and let us see, the wheel turning round and round.
