At first, a rather innocent curiosity

I'm right now securing my path to hell
Moving on to heavier stuff [stuff]

Now give me pills, powder and crystals
I'm shooting up dope like missiles
Now, watch this mate go nuts [nuts]

I lost touch with my family
Because we no longer seem to live in the same reality
My mother cannot relate to her son [son]
This is your brain on drugs

Even my friends are getting tired
of me, they are not longer that fired up
about just hangin' out and make some fun [fun]
This is your brain on drugs!

I'm getting tired of myself as well
Contemplating suicide, put under a spell
Give me a razor blade, I'll cut [cut]
This is your brain on drugs!

Not the only case, one among many
I'm not joking, intoxication is heavy
And it takes away your love [love]
