Lost in Maya
by Mark Ellis
Just like wandering in a desert, just a mirage in time and space.
Without purpose and direction, and there's no nectar in this place.
How long have we been travelling in these worlds? How many lifetimes who can tell?
Everyone of us on a spiritual journey, to find our heaven and release from our hell.
Just a soul lost in Maya, just a child that's lost it's way.
Just a product of a desire, and temptation to go a different way.
It's so amazing this illusion, the fascination of Maya's dance.
The fire of desire ignited within us, as we are caught by Maya's glance.
Just a soul lost in Maya, just a child that's lost it's way.
Just a product of a desire, and temptation to go a different way.
And so she tempts us and we are taken, and never satisfied or free.
Old age and death our destination, until we realise our eternity.
Just a soul lost in Maya, just a child that's lost it's way.
Just a product of a desire, and temptation to go a different way.
